Goodness we have been busy!

What a summer! I am not looking forward to the cold weather that is quickly approaching, but a break in our schedule will be wonderful. After our trip to Mexico, we packed up 2 weeks later and headed to Ohio to celebrate my Grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary. Of course, Alice got to meet them for the first time. Grandma has been calling me for 4 months now, wanting to get her hands on this little girl!

Of course Grandpa had to take his turn. He's not really a baby person, but he declared Alice to be a fine, sturdy little girl. He also wished Matthew and myself 60 years of walking through life together.
Did I mention that Grandma likes babies?
It is a very good thing that Grandma likes babies, because her six babies had quite a few babies themselves.
I think she had a good time.
On the home front, Alice had her first solid food. She wasn't impressed.
And for Labor Day weekend, we went apple picking.
Got a few snuggles from Daddy,

Found an apple just Luke's size and an equally yummy rock,

Got a few more snuggles,

enjoyed the weather,

and then found a cool stick.
