We took Luke to his first Easter Egg hunt the Saturday before Easter. They had a wonderful area for walkers 2 and under, so there were not any big kids to knock them over. When the ref blew the whistle to let the kids get the eggs, all the little ones dashed towards the grass, away from their parents and then stopped, as if to say "yes! I got away from Mom and Dad! Now what?"
We had to show Luke that you were supposed to pick up the eggs and put them in your basket. At one point, he found an egg that had opened and the candy had fallen into the grass. He picked up the candy and the egg and tried to put them back together, not really caring about the candy.
And being the first rate parents that we are, we allowed him to have chocolate for breakfast Easter morning. In our defense, however, he took exactly 3 bites, put the bunny down and declared that he was all done.
Can you tell this is a child that had chocolate for breakfast?
