After going in for a routine check-up, the ultrasound tech noticed that my cervix was shorter then it should be. Not dramatically so, but short enough to be worrisome. So my wonderful doctor sent me over to the hospital to make sure I was not contracting and everything was looking great until she unhooked the baby monitor (who by the way is doing great!). I had 3 contractions in 15 minutes and continued to have them.
Needless to say, it is to early to be having contractions. So they gave me a shot of something and then they gave me a pill of something and the pill calmed my uterus down to a point where they were comfortable to send me home. I am now on that medication every six hours until my doctor tells me I can stop and I am supposed to keep pressure off of my cervix as much as possible. So, bed rest.
Matthew is going to stay home as much as he can and we'll have to figure out the rest as it comes. Your prays for our little one would be greatly appriciated.
