Formula for Haiti

Hello lovely people in bloggy world,

I know that everybody is being overwhelmed with the needs of Haiti right now. Matthew and I wanted to help, but just weren't sure how. We don't like to just give money to large charities because we don't feel it is very personal and we are also concerned that that money will not go towards helping those people as fast as possible.

When we found out that my mother-in-law is headed to Haiti this week as part of a medical assistance group, we thought this would be the best way to help. The elder Mrs. G said that her group was getting stories of orphanages and aid groups giving babies only one ounce of formula per child because it was all they had to give.

Having a very young son and another child on the way, this broke our hearts. I would just like to put the information out there so that if you feel the need to help in some way and know a person going to Haiti, please send what you can. MRE's aren't exactly made for small babies to be able to eat.
